Overview
Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation or AWAC is the largest
independently held regional airline currently flying in the
US. AWAC flies in partnership with both US Airways and United
Airlines. They employ approximately 2,600 people and their
fleet consists of 70 Canadair Regional Jets (CJR) and 6 British
Aerospace BAe-146 jet aircraft.
Where Do They Fly?
AWAC currently operates in 68 cities throughout 27 different
states and 2 Canadian provinces.
AWAC and Regional Airline Academy's Partnership
Air Wisconsin's new hire airline pilot requirements include
a minimum 1000 hours of total flight time and 250 hours of
multi engine flight time. Through our flight training reputation
and the partnership our flight school has with AWAC, we have
had graduates placed with just over 325 hrs total time and
less than 50 hours multi-engine time.
