FAR Part 142

Courses Include: Private Pilot certificate, Commercial Pilot certificate, Flight Instructor certificate, Flight Instructor Instrument certificate, Ground Instructor certificate, Airline Transport Pilot certificate, Instrument rating, Multi-Engine private and commercial ratings, Multi Engine Instructor rating, and aircraft specific type ratings.

This section, much like FAR Part 141, deals specifically with flight training centers and schools, but holds them to even a higher standard. This section lays down the flight training regulations and curriculum that the airlines follow. It is responsible for the specifics of flight school record keeping, flight training operating rules, training program curriculum requirements, and many other aspects that directly affect how a flight training center can operate.
