Federal Aviation Regulations
FAR Overview
The Federal Aviation Regulations, or FAR as it is often referred to, are a set of rules laid out by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). These rules and regulations encompass airplane design, airline flights, and a host of other activities, including pilot training and overseeing flight school training.
The regulations are broke down into parts, which are sub-categories
of each CFR (Code of Federal Regulations). All parts of the
Federal Aviation Regulations are important. We will focus
on the three that deal specifically with pilot training at
a flight school. These are FAR Part 61, FAR Part 141, and
Far Part 142.
