Why Train With Us: Aircraft and Simulators

One of many reasons RAA is proud of their fleet is the Garman 430 GPS (Global Positioning System) with color moving map and the capability of detecting other aircraft around you (Mode S Transponder). Not only does this provide added value to your training experience, this also adds a huge safety factor while you are training.

Our Piper Cadet/Warrior is mainly used as a basic trainer. This aircraft is designed to ease you into the flight environment with a roomy and well oriented cockpit. You will feel right at home when you get into the modern cockpit, take the controls, and start your dream as a pilot.

Our advanced single engine trainer is the Piper Arrow. This aircraft is laid out much like our basic trainers, yet has more advanced systems such as retractable landing gear and a movable pitch prop (constant speed propeller). These aircraft are more complicated to fly and require a higher level of skill to operate.

For your multi-engine training, you will fly the Piper Seneca. This aircraft is the most complex of the fleet utilizing two engines. This aircraft flies much faster and with more complex systems, you will become a well versed pilot proficient in complex aircraft operations.

For your Regional Jet Training RAA has two Advanced Jet Flight Training Devices. Our state of the art FTD's are designed to give you the Turbo-Jet experience needed to fly for the Airlines. You will become proficient in Jet Aircraft Systems as well as learn how to function in an Airline Crew environment. You will train the way the Airlines train.

It doesn’t stop there! If your dream is to become an airline pilot, then you need to be trained as an airline pilot! RAA is leading the industry in airline training. Our FAR Part 142 approved Airline Training Centers utilize maximum airline training potential by incorporating simulation within its training curriculum. At the airline, you will train in simulation before ever stepping into the cockpit. Why change that philosophy? While other schools only train you in small light aircraft, RAA immerses you in jet simulators. Our advanced simulators better equip you as a professional pilot by giving your training the flexibility and endurance you need to learn. You will learn in a quiet, conferrable environment and will be able to easily review problem areas without much time wasted.
